Gates, Holt Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are football player BooBoo Gates and women's golfer Patricia Holt.

Male Athlete of the Week
BooBoo Gates, a junior from Middletown, Ohio, had a team-high eight tackles and a 37-yard interception return for a score as the Falcons defeated the Miami RedHawks, 37-12. Gates and the Falcons' defense held Miami to 256 yards and just three yards rushing on 20 attempts.
Female Athlete of the Week
Patricia Holt, a sophomore from Frisco, Texas, recorded a career-low 151 at the Butler Fall Invite, finishing in a tie for fourth among the 70-player field, while helping the BGSU women's golf team to its second straight tournament win. Holt's 74 in round one was a career-best as she helped the Falcons secure a 36-hole team score of 600, destroying the previous school record of 609.
