DeSalvo, Yoho Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are hockey player Dan DeSalvo and softball player Katie Yoho.
Male Athlete of the Week
Dan DeSalvo, a freshman from Rolling Meadows, Ill., scored five goals and recorded an assist in the Falcons' opening playoff series against Northern Michigan. He helped the team to a 5-3 win Saturday and a 4-1 win Sunday, scoring the game-winner in both contests. DeSalvo finished the series with a plus/minus rating of +6 and added four blocked shots.
Female Athlete of the Week
Katie Yoho, a sophomore from Grove City, Ohio, went 8-for-16 with two homers as BGSU softball went 3-2 on the week. She hit a walk-off game winner in a 1-0 win over St. Francis and added a solo shot against Florida Gulf Coast. Yoh also drove in four runs and scored three on the week.
