Hewit, Reuland Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's golf Parker Hewit and tennis player Emily Reuland.
Male Athlete of the Week
Parker Hewit, a senior from Westfield, Ohio, shot a 224 and tied for fourth at the 2012 Rutherford Intercollegiate Saturday and Sunday. His effort helped BGSU win the tournament and defeat 13 other teams, including two from the Mid-American Conference. Hewit now has three top-ten finishes for the season.
Female Athlete of the Week
Emily Reuland, a sophomore from Oswego, Ill., went 4-0 on the week, winning both of her singles and doubles matches. BGSU lost a 5-2 decision to three-time defending MAC Champion Miami (Ohio), but Reuland won at No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles. She moved up to No. 2 singles against Ball State and again won both of her matches.
