Falcon Duo Tied For 23rd at Pure Silk Through First Round

Bailey Arnold and Shelby Wilson, a pair of members from the Bowling Green State University women's golf team competed in the first round of the Pure Silk Golf Championship on Tuesday morning, carding a seven-over, 79, during the alternate shot format.
The three day event is being held at Wedgewood Golf and Country Club in Powell, Ohio, and features 54 two-person teams.
Four teams from the Mid-American Conference are represented, with BGSU second among those squads. Eastern Michigan carded a 77 to sit in 15th place, while Toledo (87, T-40th) and Ohio (88, T-43rd) trail the Falcons.
Day two begins Wednesday morning, but is a best ball format.
