Bowling Green, Ohio – Former BGSU men's basketball player Scott Thomas has agreed to a contract with the Cuxhaven BasCats in the Germany ProA Division. Thomas left for Germany Saturday to prepare for the season, which starts in September.
“I am very excited to start on this new adventure,” Thomas said. “I look forward to seeing the world.”
Germany's ProA Division is the second-highest in Germany, behind only Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). Thomas completed his career at BGSU in 2011-12, finishing as one of the most versatile players in program history. He finished his career in the top 10 all-time at BGSU in rebounds, assists, steals, and three-pointers made. As a senior, he ranked in the top 15 in the MAC in eight different categories, including second in steals and minutes played.
