Burbrink, Koch Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are football player Ryan Burbrink and women's cross country runner Abby Koch.
Male Athlete of the Week
Ryan Burbrink, a redshirt freshman from Shady Side, Mary., had eight catches for 45 yards in a near-upset over No. 23 Florida inside The Swamp. Burbrink, a walk-on, led the team in catches and was second in yards in his first career collegiate game. He kept drives going with three first-down catches.
Female Athlete of the Week
Abby Koch, a redshirt junior from Stow, Ohio, finished a team-best seventh at the Mel Brodt Collegiate Opener, helping the BGSU women's cross country team to a second-place finish. While the Falcons were picked to finish last in the MAC preseason poll, the team defeated both Eastern Michigan (picked fifth) and Ball State (picked 11th) to send a statement to the league.
