Triller, Harrington Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's golfer Ryan Triller and gymnast Megan Harrington
Male Athlete of the Week
Ryan Triller, a sophomore from Street, Mary., helped BGSU capture the Mid-American Conference Match Play Championship by going 2-0-1 over the weekend. Competing in his first tournament as a Falcon, Triller earned a halve versus Toledo, won 4&3 against Northern Illinois and went 1 up in the finals against Ball State. Triller was 1 down with two holes to play but rallied back to win his match and give BGSU a 3.5-2.5 win over Ball State.
Female Athlete of the Week
Megan Harrington, a junior from Bloomington, Ill, finished third in the all-around at the Sweetheart Invitational, hitting a career-best 39.000.Her highlight came on floor exercise, where Harrington scored a career-high 9.875 to finish third out of 36 gymnasts. Harrington also hit a 9.725 on vault, 9.7 on bars and 9.7 on beam to complete the finest all-around performance from a BGSU gymnast since 2004 and the fourth-best in BGSU history.
