The Bowling Green State University men's golf team carded a 36-hole score of 608 (306-302) and sit in fifth-place at the Triumph at Pauma Valley in Pauma Valley, Calif.
The field included nine teams, led by host San Francisco (572), followed by Brigham Young (576), UC Riverside (603) and British Columbia (605) to round out the top five.
BGSU was led by newcomer Ryan Triller, who fired a 144 (+2) and sits in a tie for sixth among 53 golfers. The sophomore carded back-to-back 72's.
Senior Wes Gates is tied for 22nd with a total score of 153 (78-75). He is joined by Joe Cooper (154, T-24th), Charlie Olson (159, T-36th) and Holden Pahr (164, T-43rd).
Josh Bialecki (152, T-18th) and Torey Brummett (166, 47th) competed as individuals, meaning their scores would not count toward BGSU's team total.
The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning.
