The Bowling Green State University men's golf team carded a final round 308 to finish fifth at the Triumph at Pauma Valley. BGSU finished the 54-hole event with a team score of 916 (306-302-308).
San Francisco won the event with a team score of 861. BGSU also trailed Brigham Young (863), UC Riverside (902), and British Columbia (908).
Individually newcomer Ryan Triller led the Falcons with a 220 (72-72-76). Triller finished ninth of 52 golfers.
Also competing for the Orange and Brown were Wes Gates (230, T-20th), Joe Cooper (232, T-25th), Charlie Olson (236, 33rd), and Holden Pahr (249, T-48th). Josh Bialecki finished tied for 29th with a 234 and Torey Brummett finished 46th with a 246. Both scores could not be used towards the team score because they competed as individuals.
The Falcons will return to the course in two weeks to compete at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate on March 24-26.
