Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee held its annual Falcon Networking Night Tuesday with nearly 100 student-athletes and professionals in attendance at the Clazel in downtown Bowling Green. The event was an opportunity for BGSU's student-athletes to meet local professionals. More than 30 professionals from a variety of career paths were in attendance to speak with and mentor BGSU's student-athletes.
"I enjoyed the chance to have a professional conversation with someone in my field," Joey D'Agostino of the BGSU men's soccer team said. "Networking Night was a great opportunity to get experience in a professional setting to to meet new people."
This was the third annual Networking Night, organized by SAAC along with Student-Athlete Services. Tom Walton, Ron Zwierlein and Megan Gormley also served as professionals on the planning committee.
"Networking Night is an important event for career development of our student-athletes," Casey Stark, Interim Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Services, said. "The majority of our student-athletes don't plan to go pro in their sport, so Networking Night provides them an opportunity to explore a field they might consider as a career."
