Calhoun, Harris Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's basketball player A'uston Calhoun and swimmer Alexa Harris.
Male Athlete of the Week
A'uston Calhoun, a senior from Southfield, Mich., averaged 16.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as BGSU split two basketball games this week. Calhoun was dominant against Ohio Saturday, posting 24 points and seven rebounds, making 8-of-14 shots and all seven of his free-throw attempts. In a midweek win over Miami, Calhoun had nine points and eight rebounds, while handing out two assists and blocking a shot.
Female Athlete of the Week
Alexa Harris, a senior from Moline, Ill., became BGSU's first MAC champion in swimming since 2009, winning the 200 yard backstroke with a school-record time of 1:57.30. She also qualified for the championship finals in the 100 backstroke and the 200 individual medley, finishing third and sixth. Harris also swam for the Falcons in the 200 and 400 medley relays which placed third and second with school-record times.
