Falcons Tied for 15th After 18 Holes at Samford Intercollegiate

The Bowling Green State University men's golf team carded a 308 on day one of the Samford Intercollegiate and sit in a tie for 15th after 18 holes of action. Monday was scheduled for 36 holes, but due to a frost delay in the morning the teams completed only the opening round.
Most teams were mid-way through round two when darkness set in. When play resumes on Tuesday, the players will complete the second round from where they left off and immediately begin the third and final round of action.
Vanderbilt leads the 18 team field after shooting a 287. Auburn (291) and Furman (292) round out the top three. BGSU is the only team from the Mid-American Conference competing in this field.
Charlie Olson led the Orange and Brown with a 74 and is tied for 27th. Fellow senior, Wes Gates, is one behind with a 75 and sits in a tie for 39th.
Also competing for BGSU were Holden Pahr (78, T-61st), Ryan Triller (81, T-81st), and Joe Cooper (86, T-92nd).
