Final Results
The Bowling Green State University men's golf team finished 16th at the Samford Intercollegiate with a 54-hole score of 926 (308-306-312), battling the wind and cold throughout the second day of action.
Auburn won the event with a final score 865, edging out Vanderbilt (876) for the tournament championship. Overall, 18 teams competed in the two-day event.
BGSU was led by senior Wes Gates, who finished tied for 45th with a score of 229 (75-76-78). Gates was followed by newcomer Ryan Triller, who finished tied for 56th with a 54-hole score of 231 (81-76-74).
Also competing were Charlie Olson (235, T-72nd), Joe Cooper (239, T-82nd) and Holden Pahr (242, T-86th).
BGSU will return to action on March 11 to compete in the Triumph and Pauma Valley in Pauma Valley, Calif.
