BGSU Duo Tied for 13th at Pure Silk

Patricia Holt and Shelby Wilson, two members of the Bowling Green State University women's golf team, combined to shoot a 79 in the opening round of the Pure Silk Championship to sit in a tie for 13th among the 42 teams. Round one featured an alternate shot format.
Of those 42 teams, seven are from the Mid-American Conference. The Falcons trail only Akron (76) among conference teams.
Round two begins on Wednesday morning and will feature a best ball format. The third and final round will be team stroke play. The BGSU duo will begin play at 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday.
