Former Falcon Standout Scott Thomas to Be Inducted into the Buckeye Valley High School Hall of Fame

Bowling Green, Ohio – Former Bowling Green State University men's basketball standout Scott Thomas will be inducted into the Buckeye Valley High School Hall of Fame on Friday night, January 24th, in Delaware, Ohio.
Thomas, who starred for the Falcons from 2008-12 on the hardwood, graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education as an Intervention Specialist in 2012.
While playing for the Falcons, Scott was a four year letter award winner and was All-MAC three times. He also was tabbed the Team MVP three times and was a member of the 2008-09 MAC Championship Team.
The three-time Team Captain was awarded the Scholar-Athlete Award four times while at Bowling Green and also earned a spot on the NABC All-District Team and was selected to the Legends Classic All-Tournament Team in 2010-11.
Thomas currently ranks 22nd overall in Bowling Green State University men's basketball history in points scored with 1,261. He also ranks third in career steals with 199, sixth in three-point field goals made with 151, ninth in career assists with 318 and 10th in career rebounds with 680.
The Ashley, Ohio native is also tied with Joe Faine and Trent Jackson for the most steals in a single game with eight thefts versus Miami back in 2012 and is tied with Antonio Daniels for second all-time in the most steals in a single season with 73 in 2011-12.
While at Buckeye Valley High School, Thomas was a four year letterwinner and a three-time Team Captain. He was also named the Team MVP three times and earned a spot on the All-Ohio Team for three straight years.
The McDonald's All-American nominee was tabbed the District 11 Player of the Year twice, was a member of both the All-District 11 First-Team and the Central District First-Team three times, and is BVHS's all-time leading scorer.
Thomas, who also lettered in baseball, cross country and track & field at BVHS, also played in the OSHAA North/South All-Star Game, was named to the All-Delaware County First-Team three times and earned a spot on the All-Columbus Dispatch Agonis Team.
Thomas, who currently is a member of the Belgium Antwerp Giants professional team, played for the Cuxhaven Bascats after graduating from BGSU where he was a First-Team All-League selection, the Player of the Year at the forward position and was second in the voting for League MVP.
