
At the Game: Legacy Weekend

The Bowling Green State University football team will host Western Michigan on Saturday, Oct.18, at 2:00 p.m. in Doyt Perry Stadium on Legacy Weekend. The contest can only be viewed on ESPN3, ESPN GamePlan or the Watch ESPN App with Greg Franke (Play-by-Play) and Tom Cole (Analyst) on the call. The game is also expected to be available regionally on BCSN. For those coming to the game, please review the game day information below.

10:00 a.m. - Falcon Team Store Opens (inside Stroh Center)

Falcon Football Tailgate Park
The Falcon Football Tailgate Park will open up at 11:00 a.m. Inflatables and face painting will be located at the northeast end of the sidewalk, until 2:00 p.m.
Falcon Team Walk
The Falcon Team Walk will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will take place along the sidewalk on the southwest side of the stadium between the Stroh Center and Doyt Perry Stadium. This is where the BGSU Football Team walks through a tunnel of fans, cheerleaders, dance team, band members and all Falcons as they arrive at the stadium.
PreFlight with the Falcon Marching Band
The PreFlight with the Falcon Marching Band will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the south end of the stadium. This is a pregame performance by the Falcon Marching Band in which all fans are encouraged to come out and watch as the Falcons get fired up for the game versus Western Michigan.
Parking

Students with a valid Student I.D. will be able to park for free in the grass lot next to the football practice field off of Stadium Drive behind the east side of Doyt Perry Stadium. Courtesy carts can be found at the Season Ticket Lot, the Ice Arena Lot and the northeast side of the Stroh Center Lot.
Traffic
I-75 is under construction on both north and south bound lanes throughout Northwest Ohio. Please make sure to plan your time accordingly. Also expect an increased amount of traffic around the Bowling Green area due to game day crowds of fans and tailgaters attending the game.
Tickets
The BGSU Ticket Office at the Stroh Center will be CLOSED. To help expedite your entrance into the Doyt Perry Stadium, the Will Call Window and ticket booths will open at 10:00 a.m. so you are able to purchase and pick up your tickets early. Will Call is located on the southeast side of the stadium at the southeast ticket booth. Player passes will be located at Gate 9, while the Media Gate is located at Gate 2. Falcon Club members will also be able to enter into the stadium at Gate 2 with a valid Falcon Club Member Card. The Visiting Team Will Call will be located at Gate 14. Ticket prices are $18 for chairback seating and $15 for bench seating. Fans can pay with cash, Mastercard, VISA, or Discover Card. Stadium Gates will open at 12:30 p.m.

Legacy Weekend: Legacy Weekend is special weekend celebrating the founding of the Falcon Club and the BGSU Athletics Hall of Fame, as well as a time in which the BGSU Athletic Department honors the Heritage Sports of Bowling Green State University. More Information on Legacy Weekend.
Draw Bag Giveaway: The first 2,000 students into the stadium will receive a free Legacy Weekend draw string bag.
Falcon Flight Line: The first 100 students into the gates will receive a free t-shirt which will allow them to make up the fan tunnel that the Football team will run through on their way onto the field. The Falcon Flight Line will form on the field at approximately 1:58 p.m.
Heritage Sports Recognized During Coin Flip: Representatives of the Heritage Sports Teams will be recognized during the coin toss. The Heritage Sports Teams at BGSU includes Men's and Women's Lacrosse, Men's Swimming and Diving, Men's Tennis, Men's and Women's Fencing, Synchronized Swimming (Swan Club), Women's Field Hockey and Wrestling.
2004 MAC Championship Women's Soccer Team Recognition: During the first quarter of the football game, the 2004 Women's Soccer Team will be recognized on the 10-year reunion of their MAC Championship Title. The 2004 team was the first team in BGSU women's soccer history to win a MAC Tournament Championship Title and be a participant in the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship Tournament.
Halftime Festivities: As part of the Legacy Weekend festivities, the BGSU Athletics Department will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the BGSU Athletics Hall of Fame at halftime. A video tribute will be shown on the video board, while the Hall of Fame members in attendance will be recognized on the field. The Falcon Marching Band will follow with a halftime performance entitled "Green Day on Broadway" -- music from the hit Broadway show "American Idiot", that incorporates the music of the Punk Rock group, Green Day. It includes "American Idiot", "Wake Me Up When September Ends", and "Know Your Enemy".
Falcon Club Spotlight: This week's Falcon Club Spotlight is on the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Falcon Club at Bowling Green State University. Click here for more information on the 50th Anniversary of the Falcon Club.
Merchandise
The Game Day Merchandise Tent is located in the south end zone side of the stadium and is open to all Falcon Fans! The Game Day Merchandise Tent will open at 12:30 p.m. This season there will also be a merchandise cart roaming through the parking and tailgate areas prior to the game, weather permitting.

The Falcon Team Store will also be open in the Stroh Center on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. through the start of the game.
Specifically for Legacy Weekend this weekend, the Falcon Team Store, the Game Day Merchandise Tent and the BGSU Bookstore will have BGSU Athletics Heritage Sports apparel and items for sale. Click here to see the Legacy Weekend items available for purchase.
The item of the game for Legacy Weekend involves the Heritage Line of apparel and gifts. Concessions
Pizza Hut will be selling pizza directly from their truck on the west side of the stadium! Stop by to pick up a fresh, hot slice of pizza during the game. BGSU Athletics would like to thank Pizza Hut for their support over the past three years. Standard concessions are also available on both the east and west sides of the stadium throughout the concourse areas.
Game Day Programs
The official BGSU Game Day Programs will be available at the main entrances of the stadium. During the game, members of the local Boy Scout Troops will be selling game day programs. Programs will also be available in the Bookstore Tent in the south end zone. Programs are $5.
50/50 Raffle
The 50/50 raffle tickets will be available at any of the main entrances.
For the Kids
Falcon Kids Club tickets can be redeemed at any ticket booth with a valid membership card.
The Kid Zone will be located behind the scoreboard and the south end zone beyond the BGSU marketing tent.
Stadium Information
* Students can enter the stadium through Gate 6 ONLY. Student seating is in sections 17, 19 and 21. Overflow student seating (if necessary) will be in sections 7, 9 and 11.
* Even sections are located on the east side of the stadium (8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20).
* Odd sections are located on the west side of the stadium (7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, and 21).
* First aid and the Paramedics Station will be located at the northwest side of the stadium.
* The BGSU marketing tent is located near the south end zone, adjacent to the entrance of the Falcon Club Tent.
* Customer service and stadium information will be located at the BGSU marketing tent located in the south end zone. This is also the lost & found area, as well as the lost kids drop area as well. Lost & Found will be open for up to 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game. If you have lost an item and lost & found is closed, please call Steve Messenger at (419) 372-7263.
* Police officers will be located throughout the stadium.
* Bowling Green State University is a smoke free campus. Smoking is not allowed inside the stadium. Please help us by smoking in the designated smoking areas outside of Gate 2.
* Green Game Day is a joint program between Campus Sustainability and BG Athletics to reduce waste in and around Doyt Perry Stadium. You can help us tackle waste by using a "green" bag in the tailgate area and filling it full of cans and bottles. Simply tie it up and leave it at your tailgate area for pickup. In the stadium, please recycle your cans and bottles in the containers provided.
