Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball program has produced a number of players that have gone on to continue their basketball careers professionally over the programs long history, highlighted by names such as Nate Thurmond, Charlie Share, Antonio Daniels and Keith McLeod.
Currently, the Falcons have a number of players still playing in the professional ranks to date, as is listed below:
A'uston Calhoun (played at BGSU from 2010-13)
Calhoun recently finished his first professional season in the Bulgarian NBL for the Rilski Sportist Samokov. In 2013-14, Calhoun played in a total of 36 games, starting 19 at the forward position in the Bulgarian League, EuroChallenge and a handful of friendly games. He averaged 9.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game, while shooting 50 percent from the field on the year. Rilski Sportist posted a 12-12 record in league play on the year. He was named the Bulgarian NBL Player of the Week for Round 19 by Eurobasket.com on March 11th. He most recently signed with the Energy Investments Massagno Basketball Team in Switzerland as part of the LNA for the 2014-15 season.

Scott Thomas (played at BGSU from 2009-12)
After playing in 2012-13 with the Cuxhaven BasCats in the ProA Division in Germany where he averaged 20.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game, Thomas signed with the Port of Antwerp Giants of the Ethias League in Belgium for the 2013-14 season. With the Giants, he played in only 14 games before suffering a season-ending knee injury. The Giants went 19-16 overall on the season. He is currently a member of the Limburg United basketball team in Belgium for the 2014-15 season.

Nate Miller (played at BGSU from 2007-09)
Miller most recently led his Ironi Nahariya basketball team of the Israel National League in scoring with 20.7 points per game over 34 contests in 2013-14. He also averaged 8.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.9 steals per game, while shooting 57.1 percent from the field overall on the season to lead his team to a 20-6 league record and win both the Israeli National League Regular Season Championship and the Israeli National League Championship. In 2012-13, Miller suited up for Centro Juventud Sionista de Parana of the LigaA in Argentina where he averaged 8.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in 11 contests after joining the team midway through the year from the Panteras de Aguascalientes of the LNBP in Mexico where he scored 19.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.4 steals per game in nine games. Miller played for the Maccabi Beer Yaakov basketball team in Israel of the Israeli National League in 2012-11. He led the team with 22.4 points on the season, while also pulling down 8.9 rebounds per game and dishing out 3.6 assists per contest on the year. Prior to that, Miller played for both the Hapoel Yokneam/Megido basketball team and the Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv basketball team in Israel from 2009-11.

Dee Brown (played at BGSU from 2009-12)
Brown most recently was a member of the Coast II Coast All Stars basketball team of the American Basketball Association (ABA) located in Detroit, Michigan. Prior to joining the expansion team in the ABA, Brown played for Team Vienna in the Eurobasket Summer League.

Chris Knight (played at BGSU from 2008-10)
Knight, who played two seasons at BGSU, is currently a member of the Whittlesea City Pacers basketball team in the State League in Australia. Thus far this season, Knight is averaging 9.5 points and 6.3 rebounds over four games of play. Prior to joining the Pacers this season in Australia, Knight played for the Southern Ohio Kings and the Gem City Slam of the Universal Basketball Association.

Keith McLeod (played at BGSU from 1999-2002)
McLeod has been playing professional for over 10 years now, as he last played in 2013-14 for the LF Basket Lulea basketball team in Sweden in the Swedish Basketligan League. In 2011-12, McLeod played in 15 games for the BC Kalev/Cramo Tallinn basketball team of the VTB United League and a total of 19 games in the Estonia Alexela KML League. After playing for four seasons in the NBA from 2003-07 with Minnesota, Utah, Golden State, Indiana and Dallas, he played with the New Mexico Thunderbirds of the NBA's D-League from 2008-10 where he averaged 21.8 points, 5.6 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game in 2009-10. In 2011-12, he averaged 14.2 points, 4.4 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game splitting time with the Erie Bay Hawks and the Canton Charge of the NBA D-League.

John Reimold (played at BGSU from 2002-05)
Reimold has been a member of the Amicale Steinsel basketball team in the Luxembourg Total League since 2012. As a starter in 2013-14, Reimold averaged 17.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game over 32 contests. Prior to joining Amicale Steinsel in 2012-13, he played three games with Basket Esch in the same Luxembourg League in 2012-13, after spending the previous two years on the team in which he averaged 20.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game in 2010-11. Reimold has also played for As Soleuvre of Luxembourg, Finke Baskets Paderborn of Germany, Deportivo Puerto Madryn-Brown of Argentina and Youngstown Wildcats of the International Basketball League (IBL).

Martin Samarco (played at BGSU from 2005-07)
Samarco most recently was the starting shooting guard for the Gelisim Koleji basketball team of Turkey in the Turkish Basketball League. In 2013-14, Samarco averaged 14.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists over 30 games. Prior to joining his current team, he played in Turkey for both the Ankara D.S.I. Era basketball team, as well as the Torku Selcu Universitesi Konya squad. In 2011-12, Samarco averaged 20.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game with the BG Karlsruhe basketball team in Germany's ProB League, while in the 2010-11 season he played in Germany's ProA League with the Finke Baskets Paderborn team. He also played for the Holland Blast of the International Basketball Association (IBA) before moving to Germany.

Jordon Crawford (played at BGSU from 2009-13)
Crawford is currently playing in the Sacramento Pro Development Summer Basketball League (SPDL). Crawford scored 51 points in a game on June 18th to tie former NBA 12-year veteran and current assistant coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves Bobby Jackson's SPDL single-game scoring record. He was most recently named the Co-MVP of the League and dropped 30 points in the All-Star Game. Crawford signed with the Harlem Globetrotters in December 2013 and played in a game on December 27th.
Otis Polk (played at BGSU from 2007-10) *
Polk played for five different teams in four different countries since 2010. After averaging 8.4 points and 7.6 rebounds for the Plymouth University Raiders of the BBL in the United Kingdom in 2010-11, Polk moved on to post 15.8 points and 10.6 rebounds per game in 2011-12 as a member of the Anastasia de Fray Bentos of the LUB in Uruguay and 11.1 points and 14.1 rebounds per game for Montevideo Basketball Club in Uruguay. In 2012-13, Polk was a member on the Los Leones de Quilpue team in the Libcentro Chilean Basketball League in Chile where he averaged 17.0 points and 11.7 rebounds per game before moving on to play with the San Lorenzo Chivilcoy in Argentina.

Josh Almanson (played at BGSU from 2001-05) *
Almanson last played in 2012-13 for the Amicale Steinsel basketball team of the Luxembourg Total League and the Gigantes Edomex Toluca basketball team in Mexico. Prior to that, Almanson averaged 8.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game over 12 games for Benetton Fribourg Olympic in Switzerland in 2011-12, while also playing 34 games in France for the Vendee Challans Basket squad where he averaged 15.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest. Almanson also played in Switzerland for both the Lions de Geneve basketball team and the BBC Nyon basketball team professionally.
