BGSU Golfer Fran Rodriguez Grateful to be a Part of the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University Athletics Department inducted five members into the Athletics Hall of Fame Friday, Oct. 9, and one of the highlights for the women's golf program was one of the guest speakers at the event in current junior golfer Fran Rodriguez.

"Speaking at the BGSU Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony this year was an honor and an amazing experience," commented Rodriguez. "It was incredible to meet and talk with fellow Falcons to celebrate our successful past!"

"What an honor for Fran and our women's golf program to represent the student-athlete body at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Fran was thrilled to speak and be a part of honoring the past of BGSU Athletics and the careers of all five of this year's inductees," BGSU head women's golf coach Stephanie Young remarked. "It was a privilege to be in attendance and watch Fran do a fantastic job articulating how grateful she is to be a student-athlete and thankful to all that have come before her and for those who support us now moving the mission forward."

Dan Bylsma '92 (hockey), Kelly Hunt '14 (baseball), Bill Jones '66 and '68 (athletic trainer), Jim Lessig '57 and '67 (coach/administrator) and Marcia Saneholtz '64 (basketball) were the members of the 49th class of Hall of Fame inductees.
