Holmes, Miller Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's basketball player Richaun Holmes and tennis player Megan Miller.
Male Athlete of the Week
Richaun Holmes, a senior from Lockport, Ill., averaged 16.0 points on 61.9 percent shooting as BGSU won a pair of games to take over sole possession of first place in the MAC. He averaged 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists, while making all four of his free-throw attempts and both of his three-point attempts. He also increased his MAC lead in blocked shots with 61 this year.
Female Athlete of the Week
Megan Miller, a freshman from Sylvania, Ohio, was 2-0 at No. 2 singles and 1-1 at No. 1 doubles over the weekend. Friday, she teamed with Harley Hutchison for a 7-6 win against Cleveland State in doubles, then had little trouble in a 6-1, 6-4 victory in singles play. She followed that with a win against Cincinnati, rebounding from a first set loss to take the second 6-4 and the 10-point tiebreaker 10-5.
