Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Athletics Department has announced that nominations for the next class of Athletics Hall of Famers are now open. Falcon Nation can submit their nominations today by CLICKING HERE. Nominations will be accepted through May 15.

"The BGSU Hall of Fame gives us another opportunity to 'Honor the Past,' as we recognize the special contributions of our most outstanding Falcons," Bowling Green State University Director of Athletics Chris Kingston said. "We are excited to collect this year's nominations as we continue to add to the impressive group of men and women who represent Bowling Green Athletics for their storied achievements."

BGSU's Athletics Hall of Fame exists to recognize Bowling Green State University's former student-athletes, teams, coaches, administrators, and special inductees who have distinguished both themselves and the University through their measurable achievements, commitment to excellence, and their dedication to advancing the rich history, tradition and legacy of Falcon Athletics.

Teams and individuals are eligible for consideration for the Hall of Fame by being nominated. In order to be eligible for the Hall of Fame, student-athletes must be ten years removed from their last date of competition at Bowling Green and must have earned at least one varsity letter. Teams must also be ten years removed from the last date of competition and must have made significant achievement to honor and elevate the reputation of legacy of BGSU.

Coaches and administrators are eligible for the Hall of Fame and must be five years removed from service at BGSU. They must have served a minimum of five years and the individual's entire athletics contribution to the University will be considered. Special inductees who made consistent and significant contributions to BGSU Athletics will also be considered. Attending BGSU as a student is not a requirement but special consideration will be given to individuals who have brought recognition to his/her alma mater through significant personal and/or professional achievements.

BGSU has inducted 222 individuals and two teams (the 1983-84 hockey national champions and the 1959 football national champions) to the Hall of Fame. The 2015 inductees will be the 49th class in history.
