Student-Athletes Participate In Thank-A-Thon
April 27, 2015 | General, Falcon Club
BGSU student-athletes representing all 18 teams participated in the first annual Falcon Club Student-Athlete Thank-a-Thon, which ran through early April. BGSU student-athletes personally called over 700 Falcon Club members at every giving level with the express purpose of thanking them for their generous gifts in support of all student-athletes.
Â
During the 2015 fiscal year, Falcon Club membership totals are slightly ahead of last year's pace and well over 2,000 members.
Â
"Falcon Club membership is greatly appreciated by the staff, coaches and student-athletes at Bowling Green State University," said Dan Meyer, Associate Athletic Director for Development. "Working around the demanding schedules of our student-athletes, we were still able to make personal contact with a great deal of our membership, because it's important that every Falcon Club member knows how grateful we are for their gift and support to our student-athletes."
Â
"As commencement weekend approaches we see the positive impact Falcon Club members have made to our graduating senior class and our current student-athletes," said Director of Athletics Chris Kingston. "The Thank-a-Thon is just a small way we can express our gratitude for making that impact."
Â
Bowling Green State University commencement ceremonies take place May 8-9. The 2015 BGSU senior student-athletes class is comprised of 34 student-athletes who, combined, have an average 3.324 GPA encompassing 23 different majors. Falcon Athletics congratulates the Spring 2015 BGSU graduating class.
