Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University's Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Medicine Alfred Castillo and Associate Athletic Trainer Dan Fischer will be presenting case studies this week at the 2015 Mid-American Conference – Sports Medicine Association meetings at Eastern Michigan University.
Castillo will be presenting a case study titled, "Vocal Cord Dysfunction in a Division I NCAA Football Player." Meanwhile, Fischer will be presenting a case study titled, "Extensor Hallucis Longus Laceration with Post-Surgical Lower Extremity Cellulitis in a Division I Hockey Player."
"It is an honor and privilege for Dan and myself to present at the MAC sports medicine conference," Castillo said. "We take great pride in providing the best health care to our student-athletes here at Bowling Green. Serving as presenters allows us to share a few case studies and a few ideas with the rest of the Conference. The Mid-American Conference is a very special group of schools. We are doing our part to help support it."
The Mid-American Conference – Sports Medicine Association (MAC-SMA) exists to serve our valued student-athletes through the sharing of knowledge between programs. This presence enables members of our affiliated Universities to access and contribute to our extensive sports medicine knowledge base.
