European Boys' Team Championship - Scoring
Pickala Golf, Finland – On the second day of the team match play at the 2015 European Boys' Team Championship in Pickala, Finland, incoming Falcon men's golfer Pablo Heredia and the Spanish Boys National Team were edged by Switzerland 3.5-1.5.
"Pablo is playing some very tough competition and has played well," remarked BGSU men's golf head coach Kevin Farrell. "He is not only playing the top players from the other countries, but he is also playing a challenging course with very unfriendly weather conditions. Yet he continues to stay focused and play for his team and his country."
Heredia, who is playing at the number one spot for Spain, was clipped by Nick Schlickenrieder of Switzerland 3&2.
To open the event, Heredia posted rounds of 73, +1, and 72, even par, in stroke play to lead Spain and finish in a tie for 25th-place overall heading into team match play on July 9-11.
In the first round of match play on July 9, Heredia lost on the 20th hole to Tim Harry of Wales as Spain dropped the match 3-2, before falling today to Switzerland 3.5-1.5 in the second round.
The final day of the European Boys' Team Championship will take place tomorrow, July 11. Spain will face off with Iceland in match play.
