Understanding The Benefits Of BGSU’s New Student Ticketing
September 16, 2015 | Football, General
Bowling Green State University recently announced a new student ticketing policy to be debuted for the 2015-16 athletic events season. There are several benefits to the new ticket system, but at the forefront is accessibility and ease for students going forward. The new student ticket, which remains FREE, will now be accessible via any mobile phone and device. Students can claim their ticket online at BGSUFalcons.com/studenttickets prior to attending Saturday's game vs. Memphis.
"The excitement and environment created by strong student attendance truly is what makes college athletics special, and we are committed to enhancing the athletic experience for students here at BGSU," Senior Associate Athletics Director Kit Hughes said. "It is our intention to add both convenience and value for our students through this new process, and continue to improve how we engage and communicate with the student body. Our ticket office staff has done a fantastic job working to create and implement the student ticket system, and I hope that this will only strengthen the already special relationship BGSU students have with Falcon Athletics!"
When ready to claim your FREE season tickets online, students will be prompted to log-in using their BGSU email account. Students will be prompted to select a new password and will not be using their BGSU email password.
This new process offers many benefits and rewards to the BGSU student body. Tickets can now be accessed from a mobile phone or device, and all student-guest ticket purchases can be made from the comfort of your residence hall, dorm room, or home.
With Family Weekend upcoming, the new student ticketing process will allow students to save their "print-at-home" ticket as a PDF and forward to friends, family, and other guests long before the game to avoid lines at the ticket booths.
Another benefit to this new process will be that students are no longer restricted to entering through just one gate at BGSU's athletic facilities. With a student ticket, entrance will be available, accessible, and easy at each and every location around the facility. With student parking and tailgating on the East side of The Doyt, students will find a more enjoyable experience by getting into the game faster than before!
Finally, with the new student ticketing process, BGSU and the Athletics Department will be able to consolidate campus-wide events such as Ziggy Points, Resident Hall Challenges and more. This new system promises to offer better communication regarding student initiatives and promotion about BGSU Athletics Events and improve the student experience.
More information on the benefits of the student ticketing process, as well as step-by-step instructions can be found at the brand new website, BGSUFalcons.com/students or by calling the BGSU Ticket Office at 877-BGSU TICKET.
