BGSU Announces Pink Events For October

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Fans are encouraged to think pink on Oct. 10 when the Bowling Green State University Hockey team hosts Ohio State at 7:37 pm. The Falcons are set to begin their annual Pink games, sponsored by Kroger, with football, volleyball, and swimming & diving each hosting pink games this season. Football will kick off their pink game against UMass on Oct. 10 at 2 pm, where the players will wear pink wristbands, arm bands, tape and socks to support breast cancer.
Hockey will close out Saturday night when they host Ohio State at 7:37pm in the Ice Arena. $1 from all single game ticket sales for both football and hockey will be donated to the Wood County Cancer Center. The first 2,500 fans at football and the first 1,000 fans at Hockey will receive a pink rally towel from Kroger. The first 650 students will receive a madhouse on mercer pink rally towel.
Volleyball will be wearing pink on Oct. 17 when they play Eastern Michigan at 7 pm. This game is also their Alumnae weekend and camper reunion night. During that match Falcon fans can help the team Dig for a Cure by donating money per dig that bgsu records or just a straight donation. The first 500 fans will receive a pink rally towel
On Saturday October 24th, the swimming and diving team will be hosting their pink event as they will wear pink swim caps. The first 100 fans at this meet will also receive a pink rally towel.
Each pink event will include a moment of noise where we will encourage all fans to make as much noise as possible to show their support in the fight against brest cancer that unites us all. Fans are encouraged to wear to pink at these games to promote breast cancer awareness and research.
