Men's Soccer Breaks into the National Rankings

BGSU is 24th in the latest NSCAA Poll
The Bowling Green State University men's soccer team has broken into the national rankings. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released the second weekly poll of the 2015 season on Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 8), and head coach Eric Nichols and the Falcons are ranked 24th.
The latest regional rankings were also released on Tuesday, and the Falcons are ranked second in the Great Lakes Region. BGSU trails only Creighton University, the number-one team in the country, in the regional poll.
BGSU cracks the NSCAA national poll for the first time since Sept. 6, 1999. That week, the Falcons were tied for 22nd in the country after a 3-0-0 start to the season.
This year's edition of the Falcons is 4-0-0 heading into this weekend's action. BGSU has won the first four matches of the season for the first time since 1995. The 2015 Falcons head to Huntington, W.Va., for a pair of neutral-site matches in the Veterans Memorial Cup, hosted by Marshall, this weekend. BG will take on Evansville on Friday evening (Sept. 11), and the Brown and Orange will face Robert Morris on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 13).
