Jake Suder Named MAC East Special Teams Player Of The Week

Cleveland, Ohio – Bowling Green State University sophomore kicker Jake Suder has been named the Mid-American Conference East Division Special Teams Player of the Week. Suder made all five of his extra point attempts as well as a clutch field goal to lead the Falcons to a 38-28 win at Akron Wednesday.
Suder made his only field goal attempt of the contest, a 27-yarder with just 2:23 remaining in a tie game, and it gave the Falcons a 31-28 lead. It was the first of his career in a situation to tie or take the lead in the fourth quarter. Akron muffed the ensuing kickoff and Bowling Green scored a 22-yard touchdown on the next play to seal the win.
For the season, Suder is 7-of-10 on field goal attempts, with a long of 44 yards. He has made five of his last six attempts.
