Anderson, Porter Named Vito's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Vito's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are baseball player Tyler Anderson and track and field athlete Raven Porter.
Male Athlete of the Week
Tyler Anderson, a redshirt sophomore from Lima, Ohio, pitched a career-high 4.1 innings of scoreless baseball against the 8th-ranked Florida State Seminoles on May 6. Making just his second start of the season, the right-hander allowed just three hits under the lights in Tallahassee, Florida. Anderson worked around three walks, and struck out two batters. Anderson departed the game in the fifth inning with the Falcons on top, 1-0.
Female Athlete of the Week
Raven Porter, a junior from Cleveland Heights, Ohio, won the high jump at the Toledo Invitational with a leap of 5-feet-7. Porter, who has already earned a MAC automatic qualifying bid in the event and placed 12th at the MAC Outdoor Championships a year ago, will head into the league meet as one of the top Falcons.
