Max Rispler Named MAC Men's Golfer of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – After finishing on top of the Bowling Green lineup for the second tournament in a row, redshirt sophomore Max Rispler was named Mid-American Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, announced Thursday.
The Grand Rapids, Mich. native shot a low round of 69 to kick off the Inverness Intercollegiate this week, hosted by MAC foe Toledo. Rispler then followed up by carding scores of 71 and 72 in the second and third rounds, respectively, for a final score of 212, -1, with which he tied for ninth place overall.
Over the course of the two-day event in Toledo, Ohio, Rispler marked both eagles for the Falcons, in addition to seven birdies.
Last week, Rispler shot a total score of 212, +2 at the Marshall Invitational to tie for 15th-place overall and finished on top of the Falcons standings in the team's first event of the fall season.
The Bowling Green men's golf program will be back in action Oct. 10-11 as it travels to Bridgeport, W. Va. to compete in the Mountaineer Intercollegiate, hosted by West Virginia.
