Bowling Green State University men's soccer standout Robert Miller III has earned national team-of-the-week honors. On Tuesday morning (Sept. 27), Miller was one of 11 players across the country named to the TopDrawerSoccer National Team of the Week.

Miller, a native of York, Pa. (Central York H.S.), had at least one point in each of last week's two matches, as the Falcons picked up a win and a tie against strong competition. Miller had an assist on classmate Chris Brennan's goal in BG's 1-1 draw vs. Dayton at Cochrane Stadium on Tuesday night (Sept. 20), as the Falcons responded just six minutes after UD had taken the lead midway through the second half.
Then, Miller scored the clinching goal himself as the Falcons downed Ohio State, 2-0, before a crowd of over 2,500 fans on Saturday evening (Sept. 24) at Cochrane. The win was BG's first over the Buckeyes since the 2005 season.
On the year, Miller is tied for second on the team with eight points, and he is tied for the BG assists lead, with four. He leads the Brown and Orange in points per minute, as he has those eight points while playing an average of just 32 minutes per match..
BGSU is now 6-2-1 on the season after the win over OSU. Miller and the Falcons are preparing to face a second-straight Big Ten Conference opponent, as BG will head to East Lansing for a match against Michigan State University on Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 28). That match is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. at MSU's DeMartin Soccer Complex.
