Falcons Finish Non-Conference Play With 97-56 Win Over Lourdes

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team concluded its non-conference schedule with a 97-56 victory over Lourdes University on Thursday (Dec. 28) night. The game was played at the Stroh Center. The win moves Bowling Green to 9-4 on the season.

The Falcons held a 48-22 lead at halftime, and shot 58.6 percent for the game to cruise to the win. A total of 12 players scored for the Orange and Brown, while 13 players saw action in the contest.

• Bowling Green finishes the non-conference slate with a 9-4 record. The Falcons also went 9-4 across the non-conference schedule in head coach Michael Huger's first season in 2015-16.

• Sophomore guard Rodrick Caldwell led the Falcons with 15 points on 4-of-6 shooting.
• Junior forward Demajeo Wiggins totaled 11 points and eight rebounds in just 17 minutes. He went 4-for-8 from the floor.
• Redshirt-freshman guard Justin Turner finished with 11 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two blocks. Turner shot 5-of-8 on field goal attempts.
• Freshman forward Daeqwon Plowden tied a career high with 10 points. He went 5-for-7 from the floor, and also recorded four rebounds and one assist.
• Sophomore guard Dylan Frye registered 10 points, five rebounds and three assists.
• Senior guard Matt Fox went 3-for-4 from downtown, totaling nine points. He also had three rebounds, one assist and one block.
• Junior guard Antwon Lillard posted nine points on 3-of-4 shooting, while also racking up four rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal.
• Freshman guard Nelly Cummings registered six points, two rebounds, one assist and two steals. Cummings has at least one assist in every game this season.
• Freshman forward Derek Koch returned to action, and finished with five points and seven rebounds.
• Junior guard De Andre' Austin scored his first-career points, as he went 2-for-2 from the field, including a three-pointer, to finish with a career-high five points. He also had one rebound.
