NORFOLK, Va. – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team dropped an 88-46 contest at Old Dominion University on Saturday (Dec. 9) night. The game was played at ODU's Ted Constant Convocation Center in front of 5,418 fans.

Bowling Green drops to 7-4 on the season with the loss, while Old Dominion improves to 7-3. The Falcons struggled to shoot the basketball, going 19-for-63 for the game, including a 2-for-20 mark from three-point range.

Old Dominion went 29-of-65 from the floor, 8-for-22 from long range, and 22-of-29 from the charity stripe. Bowling Green was outrounded in the game, 49-38. The Falcons were down just eight with 4:19 to go in the opening half, but the Monarchs finished the half on a 10-2 run to take a 39-23 lead into the half.

Bowling Green scored the first bucket of the second half to get the lead back down to 14, but Old Dominion pushed the lead above 20 at the 16:36 mark, and controlled the game for the remainder of the contest.

• Redshirt-freshman guard Justin Turner finished with 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting. Turner added three rebounds and two assists.
• Junior guard Antwon Lillard scored in double figures for the first time in 2017-18, as he had 10 points and three rebounds.
• Sophomore guard Dylan Frye scored eight points for the Orange and Brown.
• Freshman guard Nelly Cummings registered six points, a career-high six rebounds, one assist and one steal.
• Junior forward Demajeo Wiggins pitched in with two points and six rebounds.
• Redshirt-junior Jeffrey Uju earned his first-career start, and finished with two points and four rebounds.
• Sophomore Rodrick Caldwell had two rebounds and one point.
• Freshmen Daeqwon Plowden and Joniya Gadson had four rebounds apiece.
