"I am excited for our non-conference slate of games this season. We will face a diverse group of teams, all of which have different styles of play. This should ultimately help prepare us for MAC competition," commented head coach Michael Huger. "Our schedule includes some true road games at Drexel, Old Dominion, Norfolk State and Green Bay. This will be a welcomed challenge for our young, but very talented team. In addition, we will participate in a multi-team event at Campbell University, where we will play three games in three days.
"Our home fans will get to see us tip-off against some tough competitors in South Dakota, San Jose State and Evansville. All three teams we faced last year and are excited to have on our schedule again. There is a lot of excitement around the growth of our team, and I believe it will be an exciting year of hoops in the Stroh Center."
After an exhibition versus Capital University at the Stroh Center on Nov. 2, Bowling Green will open the 2017-18 season at Drexel on Nov. 10. Familiar foes in South Dakota (Nov. 13) and Florida Gulf Coast (Nov. 18) will play the Falcons in the Stroh following the season opener. The FGCU game will serve as the Bill Frack Challenge contest.
Bowling Green dropped a hard-fought contest at South Dakota last season, but beat FGCU on the road during Michael Huger's first season at BGSU in 2015-16.

The Falcons will wrap up the road portion of their non-conference schedule with trips to Old Dominion (Dec. 9) and Green Bay (Dec. 21). Old Dominion went 19-12 (12-6 C-USA) a season ago, while the Phoenix beat the Falcons in Bowling Green last November.
