Falcons Announce Fall Schedule

Schedule is bookended by a pair of home twinbills
The Bowling Green State University softball team has announced the fall schedule for the 2017-18 academic year. Head coach Sarah Willis and the Falcons will play on four dates over a three-weekend span, including a pair of home doubleheaders.
FALL 2017 SCHEDULE
The fall schedule begins with a twinbill vs. Hillsdale at Meserve Field on Sunday, Sept. 24, with first pitch of the first game scheduled for high noon.
The next weekend sees the Falcons play a total of four games in two different states, beginning with a pair of contests in Columbus. On Saturday, Sept. 30, the Brown and Orange will participate in the 17th annual Ohio Collegiate Charity Classic, hosted by Ohio State. BG will face Dayton and Danville in that tourney.
Then, the following day (Sunday, Oct. 1), the Falcons head to the Motor City for a 12:00 p.m. twinbill vs. Detroit.
The fall schedule concludes on Saturday, Oct. 7, as Findlay comes to Meserve Field for a doubleheader. That twinbill begins at 12:00 p.m.
Willis and assistant coaches Katie Reiff and Lauren Gambone welcome back.11 letterwinners, including five positional starters, from a year ago. Three of the team's four pitchers from 2017 also return, and that trio combined to throw nearly 94 percent of the team's innings last spring.
