Pablo Heredia Iglesias Leads Falcons At Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational

Morgantown, W.Va.. – The Bowling Green State University men's golf team concluded play at the Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational finishing T-7 with a three-day total score of 912.

The Falcons finished with a team score of 855. Bowling Green turned in rounds of 301 (Round 1), 303 (Round 2), and 308 (Round 3).

Host-school West Virginia won the tournament with a score of +2 followed by Davidson with a score of +13. Eastern Kentucky finished third with a score of +25.

Pablo Heredia Iglesias turned in a strong effort over the three-round event, and was the top finisher for the Falcons finishing T-13 with a score of +8 for the tournament. Trey Walker finished T-21 with a +10 score for the tournament, while Noah Firestone who finished T-43 with a score of +16.

Rodrigue Vie and Max Rispler rounded out the Falcons with Vie finishing T-49 with a score of +19, and Rispler finishing T-60 with a score of +22. In a very strong field, Bowling Green finished 14 strokes ahead of Ohio -- the only other MAC school in the tournament.

"The result wasn't what we were looking for this week. We had some good individual rounds, but never had all 5 guys in the round the way we did in the first two events. We're going to take some lessons out of this one and use it to come back strong next week."
