Falcons Swimming and Diving Improve To 5-0 With Win Over Xavier

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving program faced the Xavier Musketeers in a non-conference swim meet on Friday, Nov. 2. Falcon Swimmers finished first in eight of 14 events to win the meet with a score of 133-129. Having won the meet, the Falcons' overall record improves to 5-0.
FIRST PLACE FALCONS
• Freshman Daisy Platts makes up 27 of the Falcons' final point tally. Platts finished first in the three events versus the Musketeers; she finished first in the 50-yard backstroke (26.50), the 100-yard backstroke (56.16), and the 200-yard IM (2:08.45).
• Freshman Kellie House chipped in 18 points after earning first place finishes in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:36.94), and the 500-yard freestyle (5:11.58).
• Sophomores Jordan Andrusak and Sarah Hennings contributed a combined 18 points. Andrusak finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a final time of 1:07.27; Hennings was the winner of the 50-yard butterfly.
• Senior Franziska Wohlert claimed first place in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 1:55.94.

Falcons Swimming and Diving will return to Cooper Pool for two dual meets over the upcoming weekend. The Falcons will host Michigan on Nov. 9, and Youngstown State on Nov. 10.
