Caleb Fields Named MAC East Co-Player Of The Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Caleb Fields, a freshman guard on the Bowling Green State University men's basketball team, has been named the Mid-American Conference East Division Co-Player of the Week. The league office announced the news on Monday (Dec. 31) afternoon. Kent State's Jaylin Walker was honored, as well.
The Falcons defeated UT Martin, 94-80, on Dec. 30 to move to 7-0 at home in 2018-19. Fields went 6-for-7 from downtown, making his final five three-point attempts to finish with a career-high 24 points. Fields also added two rebounds, while setting career highs in assists (4) and steals (2).
The Falcons have now had three players earn the honor this season. Demajeo Wiggins was named the East Division's Player of the Week on Nov. 19, while Justin Turner picked up the recognition on Nov. 26.
Bowling Green opens up conference play on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 7 p.m. at Kent State. The Falcons' conference home opener is set for 7 p.m. versus Ohio on Tuesday, Jan. 8.
