BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team overwhelmed the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay from the opening tip, playing a complete 40 minutes of basketball in a 97-68 victory at the Stroh Center. The win moves Bowling Green to 4-0 at home in 2018-19.

The Falcons led by a score of 49-27 at the half, but Bowling Green kept its foot on the gas in the second half, shooting 63.0 percent from the floor over the final 20 minutes to cruise to a 29-point victory. A season-high 13 different Falcons scored in the blowout win.

• Bowling Green moves to 4-0 at home for just the third time over the last 19 years. BGSU also started 4-0 at home during the 2014-15 and 2008-09 seasons.
• Inside the Stroh Center this season, Bowling Green is outscoring its opponents by an average of 23.3 points, and outrebounding its opponents by an average of 14.6 rebounds. BGSU is shooting 49.2 percent at home, while holding its opponents to 36.0 percent shooting.
• The victory gives head coach Michael Huger his 50th win at Bowling Green.
• BGSU has now defeated Green Bay in consecutive seasons. The Falcons are 2-1 versus Green Bay all-time.
• Bowling Green improves to 29-20 in non-conference games under head coach Michael Huger.
• The Falcons limited Green Bay to 29.4 percent (10-of-34) shooting in the first half, and 36.5 percent (23-of-63) shooting for the ballgame.
• BGSU shot a season-high 53.2 percent (33-of-62) from the floor. Bowling Green's 41.4 (12-of-29) three-point percentage was its best effort since shooting 47.8 percent (11-of-23) at St. John's on Nov. 9.
• Bowling Green dominated on the glass to the tune of a 51-29 margin. BGSU has now eclipsed 50 rebounds in three games in 2018-19. The Falcons have outrebounded an opponent by double digits a total of six times this season.
• BGSU registered a season-high 19 assists – the most assists in a game for Bowling Green since posting 19 against Miami on Jan. 16, 2018.
• The Falcons made a season-high 12 triples – the most in a game for BGSU since drilling 14 triples in a win at Norfolk State on Dec. 2, 2017.
• Bowling Green dominated the specialty statistics, securing more point points (40-26), points off turnovers (21-18), second-chance points (12-2), and bench points (36-23).
• Bowling Green scored 49 points in the first half and 48 points in the second half, marking the two highest-scoring halves for the Orange and Brown in 2018-19.

PLAYER NOTES
• For the 15th time in his career and fifth time this season, redshirt-sophomore guard Justin Turner scored 20-plus points. Turner finished with 25 points, and also tied a season high with six assists. Turner's 25 points marks the sixth-highest scoring output of his career.
• Senior forward Demajeo Wiggins entered the game leading the country in double-doubles and rebounding average. He helped his cause, posting 12 points and 19 rebounds. Wiggins now has nine double-doubles on the season and 31 double-doubles for his career. He bumped his rebounding average up to a nation-leading 12.9.
• The 19 rebounds for Wiggins marks the second-best rebounding game of his career. He pulled down a career-best 22 rebounds at Central Michigan on Jan. 24, 2017. The senior has now set season highs in rebounds in each of the last three games, as he racked up 14 rebounds at Hartford (Dec. 1) and 16 rebounds at Cleveland State (Dec. 5).
• Junior guard Dylan Frye scored in double figures for the seventh time this season, as he finished with 12 points. Frye went 2-for-5 from deep, and has now made multiple triples in seven games in 2018-19. He's hit multiple three-balls in one game 35 times in his career.
• Freshman guard Caleb Fields set career highs in points (9), field goals made (3) and three-pointers made (3). He tied career highs with three rebounds and one assist.
• Junior forward Marlon Sierra set career highs in points (7), rebounds (8), assists (3), steals (2), field goals made (3), three-pointers made (1), and minutes played (25).
• Junior guard Michael Laster and senior guard Antwon Lillard finished with eight points and nine points, respectively. Both players had two assists. Laster finished with five rebounds, while Lillard notched two rebounds.
• Redshirt-freshman forward Matiss Kulackovskis made a career-high two triples to finish with six points.
• Sophomore forward Daeqwon Plowden (3), redshirt-senior forward Jeffrey Uju (2), freshman center Tayler Mattos (1) and junior guard Ethan Good (1) also scored for the Falcons. Plowden added six rebounds, as well.

• Bowling Green continues its home stand with the Bill Frack Challenge game on Dec. 16 versus Findlay. Tip is set for 4 p.m.
• Following the Findlay contest, Bowling Green closes its non-conference schedule with home games against Western Carolina (Dec. 21) and Tennessee-Martin (Dec. 30).
