2018 Football Schedule Announced
Redding will head to his hometown Detroit Lions, while Hunter will play for the Kansas City Chiefs and Davidson the Arizona Cardinals. As a native of Canada, Hunter will be presented with multiple opportunities as he will be one of the top picks in the Canadian Football League (CFL) Draft next week.
Redding was a second team All-MAC wide receiver in 2017 after posting 45 catches for 624 yards and a team-leading eight receiving touchdowns. He had 197 receiving yards at Miami, including two touchdowns, in a road victory, adding two more TD catches against Toledo.
Hunter was a three-time Distinguished Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-MAC selection, starting all 38 games on the offensive line over the past three years. He is considered one of the top prospects for the CFL Draft, which takes place Thursday.
Davidson was three-time first team All-MAC and a three-time Academic All-American. He was twice a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award, presented annually to the best punter in the country. Following his career, he competed in the East-West Shrine Game.
Bowling Green players have had success as undrafted free agents recently. Wide receiver Roger Lewis, linebacker Gabe Martin, tight end Alex Bayer and cornerback Jude Adjei-Barimah have all played in the NFL over the course of the past five years via the undrafted route.
