Hattiesburg, MS – The Bowling Green State University men's golf team started play at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate Monday, finishing with a score of +6 tied for 7th after play on Monday.

Pablo Heredia Iglesias leads the Falcons with a score of -3 tied for 4th out of 78 total players.

Mercer leads the playing field with a team score of -5 through the first day.

Tomorrow's play will get underway with teams playing off tee one at 8 a.m., and every subsequent nine minutes; and tee 10 – at 8:09 a.m. and every subsequent nine minutes.

Coach Powers Quote:

"We didn't finish off the day the way we wanted to, but are still in a good position to make a move tomorrow. There are a lot of teams bunched up on the leaderboard that we can catch with a great final round."
