Justin Turner Named MAC East Player Of The Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Justin Turner, a redshirt-junior on the Bowling Green State University men's basketball team, has been named the Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week. The league office announced the news on Monday (Nov. 11) afternoon.
BGSU opened the 2019-20 season with a 1-1 week. The Falcons defeated Tiffin in the season opener on Nov. 5, prior to a nine-point loss on the road at No. 22 LSU on Friday (Nov. 8). Turner averaged 23.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists, while shooting 54.5 percent (18-of-33) from the field. The native of Detroit also shot 54.5 percent (6-of-11) from downtown.
Turner opened the season with a 20-point game in a season-opening win over Tiffin at the Stroh Center. He then dropped 26 points in Baton Rouge against the 22-ranked LSU Tigers. Turner grabbed six rebounds in each contest.
The Falcons play in Coral Gables, Florida tonight (Nov. 11) versus Jacksonville at 7 p.m. The contest is being played at the University of Miami's Watsco Center.
