November 13, 2019 | Men's Basketball
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team and head coach Michael Huger announced the signing of three future student-athletes to National Letters of Intent on Thursday, Nov. 14. Josiah Fulcher (Lima, Ohio / Lima Senior), Kaden Metheny (Morgantown, W.Va. / University) and Cam Young (Swedesboro, N.J. / Neumann Goretti) will join the program as freshmen for the 2020-21 season.
"I'd like to welcome Cam, Josiah and Kaden to our family. All three are not only terrific basketball players, but also incredible people," commented head Michael Huger. "When we recruit, we look for individuals who fit our program on and off the court. With these three guys leading the way, we couldn't be more excited about our future. Collectively, this recruiting class adds a lot of toughness, shot making, versatility and defensive energy.
"My favorite part of this class is the fact that they are all winners. Our goal as a program is to compete for championships year in, and year out. With adding three highly-rated players to an already talented roster, we can remain a force in the MAC for years to come. Whether it is a highlight-reel dunk, big three-point shot, incredible assist or lock-down defense, Falcon fans will quickly fall in love with the potential of Cam, Josiah and Kaden."

COACH HUGER QUOTE: "I am ecstatic about Josiah "JoJo" Fulcher's decision to stay close to home and become a Bowling Green Falcon. Josiah was a highly-regarded local talent who we had our eyes on for the past few years. Coming to BG with a scorer's mentality, Josiah has the ability to score in bunches. Similar to current Falcon, Justin Turner, Josiah can play both on and off the basketball and be equally as effective. My favorite part of Josiah's game is his ability to play both ends of the floor. When he steps onto the court, he impacts the game both offensively and defensively. A well-coached young man, Josiah plays with a team-first attitude, and a warrior's mentality. Those qualities will immediately make him a valuable part of our program. There is no question that JoJo will quickly develop into a major threat within our offensive and defensive schemes."

COACH HUGER QUOTE: "I am thrilled to have Kaden Metheny wearing a Bowling Green uniform for the next four years. Kaden is a highly-recruited point guard who seems to get better every time he steps on the floor. A relentless worker, Kaden is one of the toughest players I have ever seen. Similar to current Falcon, Dylan Frye, Kaden is a lights-out shooter and has the IQ, handling ability and vision to lead our team from the point guard position. He also has the ability to be a primary scorer and shot maker. Whether he is playing on or off the ball, Kaden can impact the game in a variety of ways. A great student, basketball player and person of character, Kaden is everything we want in our student-athletes. Without a doubt, Kaden will quickly become a fan favorite and invaluable floor leader for our team."

COACH HUGER QUOTE: "I am incredibly excited to have Cameron "Cam" Young as part of our program. Cam is a young man who has seen his game and recruitment rapidly grow over the past few years. Standing at 6-6+ with a great frame and a well-rounded skill set, Cam's best years of basketball are still ahead of him. On the court, he will bring us versatility by being able to score both inside and out, as well as the ability to play multiple positions. Similar to current Falcon, Daeqwon Plowden, Cam is incredibly athletic and uses his gift to block shots, rebound and play above the rim – all while stretching the floor on offense. Coming to BG from one of the top high school programs in the country, Cam is a worker and winner. During his four years at Bowling Green, there is no doubt Cam will flourish into a match-up nightmare for our opponents."
