Frye, Lemke Named Jet's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Jet's Pizza Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's basketball player Dylan Frye and diver Talisa Lemke.

Male Athlete of the Week
Dylan Frye, a senior from Miami, Fla., led BGSU men's basketball to the championship game of the Paradise Jam with victories over Western Kentucky and Cincinnati. Frye averaged 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game, while making 8-of-16 three-pointers in the victories. He had 19 points against Western Kentucky and then tied his career-high with 28 in an overtime win over Cincinnati. He also had a career-best nine rebounds and a season-high six assists in that victory.

Female Athlete of the Week

Talisa Lemke, a senior from Berlin, Germany, broke both BGSU diving records at the Cleveland State University Magnus Cup. Lemke scored a 330.35 in the 1-meter dive prelims, breaking her previous program record of 319.65. In the finals, Lemke scored a 325.20 to take first place. In the 3-meter dive prelims, Lemke scored a 373.50, breaking her previous record of 372.00. She scored a 336.70 in the finals to take first place once again. Lemke's scores also broke the Magnus Cup records.
