Meyer Earns MAC East Offensive Player Of The Week

Cleveland, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced Monday afternoon (Nov. 4) the MAC Honors for volleyball for the past week of competition. Of those named, Bowling Green sophomore Katelyn Meyer claimed the East Division recognition for MAC Offensive Player of the Week. This comes after the Falcons completed a 1-1 weekend, which included a 3-0 sweep over Ohio on Saturday (Nov. 2). This marks the second time this season Meyer has been named, after she was also named following Week 5 (Sept. 30).Â

Meyer registered a top two total for kills in both matches this past weekend and had the highest total on Saturday. Against Kent State Friday, Meyer notched 20 kills for her third 20+ kill match of the season, and her career. Meyer also added a solo block to her line against the Golden Flashes. As for Ohio on Saturday, Meyer led the team in kills, totaling 17 over the three sets while maintaining a .250 hitting percentage.  Â
The Orange and Brown will return to action on Friday (Nov. 8) when they travel to Buffalo with a scheduled 2 p.m. first serve. From there, the Falcons will head to Akron for a 7 p.m. match against the Zips. The following week (Nov. 14 & 16), Bowling Green will face Miami and Northern Illinois to conclude the regular season.
Next Home Match: Bowling Green will return to the Stroh Center on Nov. 14 to take on Miami. Tickets for that match, and all BGSU home matches, can be purchased HERE.Â
