Twelve Falcons Named Academic All-MAC

Cleveland, Ohio – Twelve members of the Bowling Green State University football team were named Academic All-MAC, as announced by the Mid-American Conference today. The 12 Academic All-MAC honorees were the most for the program since 13 were honored following the 2016 season.
Caleb Bright, Grant Loy and Gabe Skrobot were each named Academic All-MAC for the third time in their careers. James Carolan, Derek Downs and Matt Naranjo are two-time Academic All-MAC award winners. Jevon Henderson, Jack Kramer, Nico Lautanen, Presley Motes, Jordan Murphy and Nate Needham were each recognized for the first time.
In order to qualify for Academic All-MAC, a student-athlete must excel in athletics and academics. Each student-athlete must maintain a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and have competed in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sports. True freshman and transfers in their first year of residency (including graduate transfers) are not eligible for the award.
