The Academic All-MAC Team recognizes student-athletes who have excelled both on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must possess a minimum of a 3.20 GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.Â
Across the conference, only four perfect GPAs of 4.000 were recorded. Bowling Green's Laube was one of the four, maintaining a 4.000 GPA while majoring in history. Of those named for the Falcons, two were seniors, three juniors and four sophomores. Freshmen and transfer athletes are not eligible to be recognized.Â
Both seniors, Marciniak and Iacobelli, were named for the third time in their careers, earning the recognition each year they could be considered. The Orange and Brown will return to the court Thursday (Dec. 5) to host the first two rounds of the NIVC, first facing Purdue Fort Wayne at 7 p.m. A full release regarding the match can be found HERE while tickets for the match can be purchased HERE.Â
