Twelve Falcons Named WCHA Scholar Athletes

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Twelve members of the Bowling Green State University hockey team have been named WCHA Scholar-Athlete Award recipients. Players are eligible for this award after a minimum of one year of residency at Bowling Green State University while holding a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the previous two semesters.
Bowling Green has advanced to its second WCHA Championship Game appearance in three seasons. The Falcons will travel to Mankato, Minnesota this weekend to battle the Minnesota State Mavericks in one game to decide the 2019 WCHA Tournament Championship with an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament at stake. The game will take Saturday, March 23 at 8:07 PM eastern time in the Verizon Center.
