Talisa Lemke Named To Google Cloud Academic All-District

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University senior Talisa Lemke was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District Women's At-Large team, as announced Thursday by CoSIDA. As part of District 5's First Team, Lemke was one of eleven athletes selected, and one of four swimmers/divers named to the list. With being named to the district's first team, Lemke will advance to consideration for the Google Cloud Academic All-America honorees, which will be announced in June.

The recognition is selected by COSIDA for the top student-athletes in the nation for combined performance in their respective athletic field, as well as the classroom. The District 5 for NCAA Division I includes athletes from Illinois, Indiana and Michigan in addition to Ohio. Of the eleven named, Lemke was one of four swimmers/divers, one of eight athletes with a 4.000, one of two MAC athletes and the lone Theatre major.
Over the course of the 2018-19 season, Lemke qualified for the NCAA Diving Zones for the second consecutive season while maintaining a 4.000 GPA. Completing 22 dives on the season, Lemke won 17 events for the Falcons, placing second in three of the five events that she did not win, leaving just two finishes outside the top two on the year. Once again, Lemke also broke a school record, this time in the 3-Meter Dive, beating her own record with a score of 372.00 against Youngstown State on Nov. 10.
As stated in the CoSIDA release, voting for the Google Cloud Academic All-America team will begin Wednesday, May 22 and run through Wednesday, May 29 with the honorees being announced in June.
