Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Ticket Office has announced the creation of a point system to determine on-sale timelines for allocating tickets for high demand events such as the NCAA Tournament, high-profile road games, MAC or WCHA Tournament contests, and other events.
"With the continued positive momentum for Falcon Athletics and increased demand for tickets, the time is right to implement an updated point system structured to protect and reward our loyal season ticket holders," BGSU Director of Athletics Bob Moosbrugger said. "Our programs have set lofty goals and, as we continue to pursue and achieve those goals, it is important that we take care of those who have helped us raised expectations by generously supporting our teams. This system signifies and reinforces our gratitude for your continued support."
Points will be scaled based on each individual's purchase history related to price point, frequency, range of sports, and purchasing consistency. Due to federal tax laws, there will be no donation component to the newly-implemented point system. Details of the system include:
The points system will go into effect immediately and will be used to determine on-sale timelines for purchasing BGSU's allotment of tickets when the Falcon football team plays at Notre Dame Oct. 5.
This system will have no effect on timelines related to purchasing or claiming student tickets. For questions regarding this system or your point total, please contact the BGSU Ticket Office at 419-372-0000.
