Clair is a two-time third team All-MAC running back and has 1,427 career rushing yards heading into his junior campaign. As a true freshman, he broke the school record with 6.8 yards per carry. He has also proven to be a reliable pass catcher, making 32 receptions over two seasons. He enters 2019 with 1,988 career all-purpose yards and eight career 100-yard rushing games.
Kramer and Taborn anchor a veteran offensive line that returns four starters. The duo combined to start 22 games a year ago, with Kramer starting every contest. He began the year at left guard, but took over as the starting center in game six after injuries forced a shuffling of the line. Taborn started 10 games at left tackle in 2019 and has played since the day he stepped foot on campus, never taking a redshirt season.
On the defensive side of the ball, McBride III started all 12 games in 2018 and was second on the team with 106 tackles. A highly productive player, he also had two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and 1.5 tackles for loss. He recovered a second-quarter fumbled punt at Oregon that set up a Bowling Green touchdown and returned another fumble 50 yards to set up a score against Eastern Kentucky.
Konowalski was granted a sixth year of eligibility after missing the entire 2018 season due to injury. Prior to that, he started all 24 games in 2016 and 2017, racking up 12.5 career tackles for loss and 6.0 quarterback sacks. A disruptive force, Konowalski has forced three career fumbles, recovered two, blocked an extra point, and recorded 112 tackles.
